Chocolate Thumbprints w/Ganache - a little "kiss" of chocolate

These little bites are a tiny kiss of chocolate for a buffet or light lunch.  “Blooming” in the center of white & red chocolate papers, anyone would like to receive these as Valentine treats.  Rich, shiny chocolate ganache piped in a swirl make these extra decadent.
The shiny ganache is what made me cave in to these tempting treats.  Rich and dark, with a chewy center and sugar crusted outer layer - these are for chocolate lovers everywhere.
If you are a snickerdoodle person - these will not be a challenge for you.  The hardest part is waiting for the ganache to partially set so it can be whipped and piped.
I made these for my daughter’s “Grocery Shower”...  “What is a grocery shower” you ask?  Well, let me tell you - it is the most useful, needed, and helpful thing you can do for a newlywed couple.  They went back to their college apartment with a fully loaded car stuffed with groceries.  Now I won’t have to worry about them starving (for a bit)
For this recipe, you will need Dutch Process cocoa (explained HERE) - but just plain-ol’-stuff for the rest of the ingredients.  I found this recipe on marthastewart.com and adapted it slightly.
