From the first bite, this cookie will probably surprise you. We’ve all learned to love chocolate crinkle cookies - so that’s what you might expect before trying them. But inside you will find hidden a sweet, moist creamy peanut filling. The coarse sugar sprinkled on top adds a sweet crunch. Delicious!
I found this recipe on dragonkitchen website, who gives the original source as Better Homes & Gardens. This cookie has so many sources, it’s hard to give anyone proper credit! I loved the idea the instant I saw it. My only suggestion is to double the filling ingredients (but be careful to completely cover the filling layer with the chocolate cookie dough to eliminate oozing while baking).
