Big Batch Homemade Braided Bread
It’s discouraging to make homemade bread that looks beautiful (until it’s cut...) It’s disappointing to find HOLES in the bread - which is a problem when you toast it and the butter goes right through the bread. I found when I make bread this way, it rarely has tunnels or holes - (I really don’t know why!) I tried it first with a well-known recipe from the Lion House. It was beautiful - but it didn't bake completely through, and was a TAD doughy. So I tried my good old standby homemade bread recipe (included) - but added an egg to it. It was just right!
